UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Sept. 3, 2018
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DeMarcus Collins, So., Iowa Wesleyan
Abbeville, La./Abbeville
- Led Iowa Wesleyan offense in narrow 27-21 loss to Cornell
- Passed for 320 yards and one touchdown with 50-percent completion
- Rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns
FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Shipley, Jr., Minnesota Morris
Couer D'Alene, Idaho/Lake City
- Led Cougars defensively in opening loss to UW-River Falls
- Recorded 15 total tackles including six solo tackles
- Helped the Cougar defense record five turnovers
FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Shipley, Jr., Minnesota Morris
Couer D'Alene, Idaho/Lake City
- Averaged 39.7 yards on six punts
- Recorded one long punt of 45 yards
- Pinned UW-River Falls inside the 20 once
VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mariah Halvorsen, Sr., Northwestern
Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata
- Averaged 5.5 k/s in Northwestern's 3-1 opening weekend at home
- Recorded a career-high 32 kills in five-set loss to Bethel
- Tallied three double-double kill-dig performances
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kalley Schwitters, So., Northwestern
Clara City, Minn./Central Minnesota Christian
- Led Northwestern defensively in 3-1 tournament outing
- Tallied 69 digs for 4.6 per set average
- Collected 26 digs in five-set match vs. Bethel
VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Sydney Schwitters, Fy., Northwestern
Clara City, Minn./MACCRAY
- Tallied 192 assists (12.8/set) in collegiate debut with Northwestern
- Recorded 63 assists and 14 digs in five-setter with Bethel
- Collected 52 assists in four-set win over Wartburg
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Grecia Burns-Cadotte, Fy., Northwestern
Minneapolis, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's
- Led Northwestern to an opening weekend 2-1 upset of St. Olaf
- Scored back-to-back goals within seven-minute time span of first half
- Converted on both shot attempts for the Eagles
MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Corey Bulheller, Jr., St. Scholastica
Middleton, England/Highfields Secondary School
- Tallied 12 saves in first collegiate start for St. Scholastica
- Kept Luther off the board until the 86th minute in 2-1 loss
- His 12 saves are the most in A game by a CSS keeper since 2013
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonnell Central
- Led the Rams in 10-0 offensive outburst win over Mount Mary
- Tallied five goals and an assist in the season-opening victory
- Added an assist on the lone goal in 2-1 loss vs. Lakeland
WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Roni Rudolph, Jr., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Duluth East
- Recorded 17 saves in two games for St. Scholastica
- Earned a shutout in 0-0 tie with Luther Sunday
- Allowed just one goal in 200 minutes of action
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Isaac Boedigheimer, So., St. Scholastica
Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet
- Led St. Scholastica to fourth-place finish at Twin Cities Twilight
- Clocked the top UMAC time (21:42) in the four-mile race
- Placed seventh among all collegiate runners
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Aria Plewa, So., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Duluth East
- Led St. Scholastica to third-place finish at Twin Cities Twilight
- Recorded the best UMAC time (18:55) in the three-mile race
- Placed seventh among the field of 107 runners
MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Spencer Viita, Jr., St. Scholastica
Cook, Minn./North Woods
- Led St. Schoalstica to team victory at the Twin Ports Collegiate
- Earned medalist honors with two-day score of 142 (E)
- Recorded tournament-low round of 68 (-3) Saturday
WOMEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kylie Slavin, Sr., St. Scholastica
St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville
- Led St. Scholastica to third-straight Twin Ports Collegiate victory
- Earned medalist honors with two-day score of 162 (+19)
- Recorded career-low 81 (+9) in opening round in Duluth
