The Saints wrapped up their season April 22 with back-to-back wins over Martin Luther College and Bethany Lutheran College – both teams that also earned repeat bids to the tournament – Friday and Saturday, respectively. With the wins, the Saints finished the regular season 18-1 overall in one of the team's best finishes in program history.

In the first semifinal match, the Saints will face the No. 4-seeded Knights of Martin Luther who earned the fourth and final spot in the playoff field winning against the the University of Minnesota Morris Friday. In the regular season, the Saints took both of the matches by scores of 7-2 and 8-1. The Knights also faced the Saints a year ago in the opening round of the tournament falling 9-0.

Suffering just two conference losses all season to just St. Scholastica, the University of Northwestern locked up the No. 2 seed in the tournament with a 7-2 win Monday over Bethany Lutheran. The Eagles enter Friday's semifinal match with a 6-2 conference mark, while the No. 3-seeded Vikings are 4-4 suffering losses to the top two seeds. The second semifinal should be an exciting one as Northwestern narrowly defeated Bethany Lutheran 5-4 in their first meeting of the season.

Both semifinal matches are slated to begin simultaneously Friday at 6 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center. No. 1 St. Scholastica and No. 4 Martin Luther will face off in semifinal one, while No. 2 Northwestern and No. 3 Bethany Lutheran will compete in semifinal two. The winners of Friday’s semifinals will compete for the postseason title in the UMAC championship Saturday at Baseline beginning at 1:30 p.m.

For both semifinal and championship matches, doubles will be played first. Singles matches cannot begin until all doubles matches have been completed.
