Describe yourself in one word.
Dedicated.

What does it mean to you to be a Division III student-athlete?
It means that there is a lot of hard work that isn't always recognized. However, it is the best athletic experience out there.

Tell us about a unique experience you've had as a student at Bethany Lutheran.
At BLC, I have been involved with the hockey broadcasting for MSU hockey. It is a unique experience and has been a good opportunity to learn a lot about something outside of my major.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned so far from being a college athlete?
Being able to overcome adversity, especially after having surgery last year to where I am today.

What is something most people don't know about you?
I actually really enjoy singing and I know most of the words to about any song out there.

What do enjoy most about competing in the UMAC?
I enjoy competing in the UMAC because any given night, anyone in our conference can come out on top. There are some really competitive teams!

What does it mean to you to be a Division III student-athlete?
Being a Division III student-athlete to me means that we are here to earn a quality education while also having the opportunity to play the sport(s) that we love. Like my coach, Tim Grove, always says to us, "Faith, Family, School, Basketball". We emphasize the student in student-athlete and we have time to devote our time to things other than just athletics.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned so far from being a college athlete?
I think that competing in sports in general can teach you many life lessons, and create a positive work ethic that can be used later on in life in a career.

Who has been the most influential on your athletics career and why?
My entire family has always been a major influence for me athletically, but moreover, my dad would have to be the most influential person. So many countless hours spent in the gym and on the field-- he was always there, pushing me to work as hard as I can and be the best athlete I can be.
