UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Dec. 19, 2017
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of men's and women's basketball. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brandon Galland, Jr., Northland
Bellevue, Wash./Interlake
- Averaged 25.5 ppg in two career-high games including 31 points Saturday
- Shot 50 percent from the field and 56 percent from 3-point range
- Added eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amy Berglund, Jr., Northwestern
Springfield, Va./West Springfield
- Surpassed the 1,000-point milestone in win over Crown Wednesday
- Scored a career-high 27 points and averaged 25.0 ppg in two-game span
- Shot 59 percent from the field and 67 percent from 3-point range
