UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Oct. 2, 2017
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LeAnthony Reasnover, Jr., Eureka
Momence, Ill./Momence
- Set school records for rushing TDs in a game with six Saturday
- Scored five rushing TDs in the first half and finished with 179 yards rushing
- Broke school record for career rushing touchdowns with 36
FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trever Zeibert, Sr., Eureka
Monee, Ill./Peotone
- Led Eureka defensively in win over Iowa Wesleyan
- Recorded 10 tackles include five for a loss of 19 yards
- Added 2.5 sacks for a total loss of 14 yards
FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Shipley, So., Minnesota Morris
Couer D'Alene, Idaho/Lake City
- Helped Minnesota Morris to first win of the season vs. Crown
- Averaged 47.2 yards per punt on five attempts
- Recorded a career-long 71-yard boot and two inside opponent's 20-yardline
VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lindsey Peterson, Sr., Northwestern
Sheffield, Iowa/West Fork
- Led Northwestern in four wins including 3-0 decision over No. 17 St. Thomas
- Collected 65 kills (5.41 k/s) including 18 in the win over the Tommies
- Hit .404 on the week and added 41 digs to her stat line
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rylee Weisensel, Sr., Martin Luther
New Ulm, Minn./Minnesota Valley Lutheran
- Helped Martin Luther to key UMAC win over Wisconsin-Superior
- Finished with 19 blocks (1.19 b/s) including eight vs. the Yellowjackets
- Added 20 kills and four aces in four matches played
VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Layne Herrmann, So., Minnesota Morris
Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake
- Tallied 159 assists (11.4 per set) in four wins over the week
- Recorded a 62-assist effort in a big 3-2 win over Augsburg
- Added 28 digs and eight kills to her stat line
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jon Bucklew, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Somerset, Wis./Somerset
- Helped Wisconsin-Superior to two conference wins on the week
- Tallied assists on three of the team's seven goals on the week
- Assisted on two goals in a win over Bethany Lutheran
MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Helped Crown to two UMAC ties on the week
- Recorded six saves in a shutout against Northland
- Allowed just one goal in 220 minutes played in two 2OT games
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Moldstad, Sr., Bethany Lutheran
North Mankato, Minn./Minnesota Valley Lutheran
- Helped Bethany Lutheran to two key UMAC wins on the week
- Tallied two game-winning goals and assist in the victories
- Scored with 29 seconds remaining in 1-0 win over Minnesota Morris
WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Dewey, Jr., Northwestern
Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors
- Finished with 32 saves in two games last week
- Tallied 13 saves in critical UMAC win over St. Scholastica
- Recorded career-high 19 saves in non-conference loss to Jamestown
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Ben Bitter, So., Martin Luther
Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran
- Helped Martin Luther to first-place finish at Wisconsin Lutheran Invite
- Completed the 8,000-meter course in 25:57.7
- Placed second individually in a field of 150 runners
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Katherine Novak, Jr., Minnesota Morris
Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park
- Helped Minnesota Morris take the team title at the BLC Invite
- Recorded a time of 25:01 on the 6,000-meter course
- Finished second overall by just three-tenths of a second behind winner
MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mac Saby, Sr., Northwestern
Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North
- Finished as medalist twice on the week
- Carded 71 (E) Tuesday to win the UNW Invite
- Recorded a two-day score of 150 (+7) to win the Viking Invite
WOMEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Arica Sheff, Jr., St. Scholastica
Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet
- Collected medalist honors at the Viking Invite Saturday
- First player to break 80 in the tournament with a 79 (+8) Friday
- Recorded 83 (+11) Satruday to best the field by 12 strokes
