ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon. 

The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
6948Austin VanDerHeyden, Jr., Crown
Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville

- Helped Crown to wins over Finlandia and Northland over the weekend 
- Scored 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field in victory against Northland 
- Finished the week with 37 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, five blocks and three steals


WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
6949Danielle Cieluch, So., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Duluth East

- Recorded her first collegiate double-double Saturday in win over North Central
- Tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, and shot 50 percent in the win
- Scored a career-high 18 points Friday in loss to Northwestern


MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
6721Kenneth Jinkins, Jr., St. Scholastica

- Won the 200-meter dash (23.61) at the Twin Ports Invitational Saturday
- Finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a UMAC-best time (8.89)
- Won the long jump with a personal-best mark of 6.67 meters (21-10.75)


MEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
6885C.J. Pillath, So., Wisconsin-Superior
Coleman, Wis./Coleman

- Won the weight throw at the Twin Ports Invitational Saturday 
- Threw 17.78 meters (58-4) which now ranks fifth in Division III this season
- Finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 13.49 meters (44-3.25)


WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
6894Valerie Rowe, So., Wisconsin-Superior
Ironwood, Mich./A.D. Johnston

- Won the 200-meter hurdles (28.81) at the Twin Ports Invitational Saturday 
- Participated on the fourth-place 4 x 200-meter relay squad
- Helped the sprint medley relay to a second-place finish


WOMEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
6947Svenja Ruehl, Jr., Wisconsin-Superior
Kircheurs, Germany/Gymnasium Philippinum Marburg

- Won the long jump to set a new meet record at the Twin Ports Invitational
- Jumped a UMAC-best 5.29 meters (17-4.25) in the event
- Currently ranks 36th in Division III for the long jump
