Final Basketball and Indoor Track & Field Player of the Week Award Winners Announced

6284UMAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Zach Schradle, University of Wisconsin-Superior 

Schradle had his first career triple-double in win over Northwestern which clinched a playoff spot for the Yellowjackets. Schradle led the Yellowjackets in points, rebounds, assists, and steals against the Eagles. Schradle finished with his 11th double-double of the season in Saturday's loss to North Central. Schradle tied for the team lead in points and assists, while leading the team in rebounds and steals.





6392UMAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Mauren Thiesen, University of Minnesota Morris 

Thiesen scored in double figures twice this weekend including a career high 27 in the win against Bethany Lutheran. On Friday night she had ten points, two assists and two steals in a win over Martin Luther. The next day she went 8-14 from the field, including 7-12 from behind the arc, it was the most points by a Cougar this year.





6393UMAC MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jason Buechler, Bethany Lutheran College

Jason went 2 and 0 in singles and 2 and 0 in doubles in leading Bethany to it's first win of the season.







6365UMAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Karen Moe, University of Northwestern 

Moe picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teamed up with Jessica Henke to notch an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles as UNW defeated Hamline 8-1 Friday night. 






6394UMAC MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 
Jeremy Peterson, College of St. Scholastica 

Jeremy Peterson broke the St. Scholastica record in the weight throw in winning fashion Friday evening at the Beaver Twilight hosted by Bemidji State University. Jeremy's toss of 18.18 m / 59'7.75" currently ranks him 4th in NCAA Division III. 






6373UMAC WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 
Nicole Christianson, College of St. Scholastica

Nicole won the high jump for the third straight meet, clearing a height of 5'5.25" (1.66m) at the Beaver Twilight hosted by Bemidji State University on Friday evening. Nicole currently is tied for 5th in the event in NCAA Division III.
