UMAC Wednesday Wrap with Ernesto Soto and Jade St. Germaine
ST. PAUL, Minn.---Each Wednesday throughout the year, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) is featuring student-athletes in its new profile series the "UMAC Wednesday Wrap with..." Student-athletes share their perspective on being a student-athlete at their institution, in the UMAC and in Division III.
This week features track and field athlete Ernesto Soto from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and three-sport athlete Jade St. Germaine of Martin Luther College.

What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Wisconsin-Superior?
The most important aspect is the amazing coaches that give student-athletes the opportunity to compete.
Tell us about a unique experience you've had as a student at Wisconsin-Superior.
I have had the opportunity to conduct research on the prevalence of the drug of cocaine on dollar bills.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I can do the splits.
What is something you want to do before you graduate?
I want to be commencement speaker for my graduating class.

What do you enjoy most about competing in the UMAC?
The high level of competitiveness.
What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Martin Luther?
I love the support from my peers as well as my instructors. At MLC the communication between athlete and professor is excellent, and it makes it easier to stay ahead academically.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I dedicate a lot of time to music outside of sports and school.
Who has been the most influential on your athletics career and why?
My dad - although he passed away when I was 15, he taught me long lasting lessons about hard-work and dedication.
