Saints Dominate UMAC Player of the Week Awards

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brian Minks, College of St. Scholastica

Minks helped lead the Saints to a perfect 5-0 UMAC record last week. Seven of his 13 hits were for extra bases. He did not commit an error at third base in 19 total chances.







BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Matthew Olson, Martin Luther College

Olson pitched his second straight shutout in a 5-0 win at Crown on Tuesday on short rest, striking out nine and allowing only five hits. Olson now has a shutout streak of 19.1 innings dating back to a start against Northwestern on April 4.







SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nikki Logergren, College of St. Scholastica

Logergren helped the Saints to a 6-0 week with a .579 batting average that was highlighted by a three homerun day vs. Crown that included seven RBIs.








SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Chrisi Mizera, College of St. Scholastica

Mizera had four wins on the week for the Saints, inlcluding a perfect six inning game against Northwestern, striking out 10 batters. The performance was the fifth perfect game in St. Scholastica program history.







MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Josh Kimball, University of Northwestern

Kimball went 4-0 in both singles and doubles play last week, helping Northwestern win all of its conference matches. Kimball's 6-2, 6-3 win on Saturday morning was the difference maker in UNW's 5-4 victory over Bethany Lutheran.







WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Bostrom, University of Northwestern

Bostrom went 3-0 in both singles and doubles play last week as Northwestern recorded wins over North Central, Martin Luther, and Bethany Lutheran. Bostrom played up a spot from her usual No. 4 singles position in two matches.







MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kevin Wagner, College of St. Scholastica

Wagner broke the school record and won the decathlon at the Phil Esten Challenge hosted by the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse on Thursday and Friday. Kevin's score of 6538 currently ranks him third in NCAA Division III.







WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Amy Campbell, College of St. Scholastica

Campbell broke the school record in the 400 m hurdles and won the event at the the Holst Invitational hosted by Concordia - St. Paul on Saturday. Amy's performance ranks her as the No. 1 Minnesota Division III 400 m hurdler. She also anchored the women's 4 x 400 m relay to a meet and facility record at Concordia - St. Paul.
