MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
G Dan Campion, Northland College
Campion helped guide the LumberJacks to a 1-1 record for the week. He had nine points and seven assists in the win on Tuesday. On Saturday, Dan made up for the Jacks not having their top scorer by scoring a career-high 28 points on 9-16 shooting and 4-8 from three-point range. He remained perfect on the year from the free throw line going 6-6. The sophomore guard currently ranks second in the NCAA in Assist-to-Turnover ratio.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
G Chanel Madson, University of Northwestern
Madson went 9-12 overall and 6-8 from behind the three-point line in a 26-point night to throttle the Eagles past North Central in just 22 minutes of action. The senior added three rebounds and a trio of assists.
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kevin Wagner, College of St. Scholastica
Wagner won the long jump at the Bethel Open on Saturday with a leap of 6.25 m / 20' 6.25". Kevin also tied a career best in the 60 m hurdles with a time of 8.68. He continues to be ranked No. 1 in the heptathlon in NCAA Division III.
WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Hannah Russert, College of St. Scholastica
In Russert's first competition of the season, she placed second in the 60 m hurdles at the Bethel Open on Saturday. Her time of 9.77 is well ahead of her last year's early season performances.
