BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
P Kyle Strom, Northland College
Strom pitched a complete 9-inning game for the LumberJacks over the weekend, striking out eight batters en route to the win.
BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
IF Jacob Hodgdon, Northland College
Hodgdon had an impressive weekend at the plate with seven hits in 12 at bats, including five RBIs and an OBP of .667.
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
P Chrisi Mizera, College of St. Scholastica
Mizera earned two of teams four wins, including a three hit 10 strikeout performance over Crown and a relief appearance against Morris where she gave up only 1 hit and stuck out 5 in 3.2 innings.
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
1B/OF Nikki Logergren, College of St. Scholastica
Nikki hit a three run home run in four consecutive games to help the Saints go 4-0 in the opening weekend of UMAC play.
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jimmy Ekman, University of Northwestern
Ekman posted overwhelming wins in both singles and doubles play over his opponents from Minnesota Morris and Bethany Lutheran, losing just five games throughout all four matches.
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelly Johnson, University of Northwestern
Kelly Johnson claimed victory in all four of her UMAC matches (two singles, two doubles) last week to help improve Northwestern to 10-6 (4-0 UMAC) on the year. In those four matches, Johnson yielded just six games (compared to 40 games won) to her opponents from Minnesota Morris and Bethany Lutheran.

Jeremy Peterson, College of St. Scholastica
Peterson had a huge career best in the hammer throw Saturday at the Ashton May Invite hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse. Jeremy's toss of 55.51 m / 182' 1" currently ranks him 10th in NCAA Division III. The toss was a 6.03 m improvement from his previous best. Jeremy also had a career best throw in the discus.
WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Brianna Buske, College of St. Scholastica
Buske had a very good start to the outdoor season at the Ashton May Invite hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday. She had an almost 3 second improvement from indoors in the 800 m with a time of 2:20.09, finishing fourth in a field of 26 competitors. She also anchored the 4 x 400 m with a split of 58 seconds.
