P TJ Struder, University of Northwestern
Studer earned a complete game shutout versus North Central on Tuesday, striking out 10 Rams batters in a three-hitter.
BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
IF Ryan Sutterer, University of Northwestern
Sutterer had big numbers as Northwestern started UMAC play 4-1 last week. He had a .579 batting average with a .636 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging rate with a pair of doubles, two home runs and eight RBI.
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
P Micah McGuiness, College of St. Scholastica
Micah tied a career high of 10 strike outs en route to leading the Saints to a 6-0 shutout of Bethany Lutheran.
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
P/2B Sarah Petkau, Crown College
Petkau hit .455 with 10 runs and 9 RBIs, including six extra base hits in four games. She also pitched in three games, going 2-1 on the week with two complete games.
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Paul Riediger, Bethany Lutheran College
Riedeger went 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play with wins over Minnesota Morris and North Central helping the team move to 4-2 in the UMAC.
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Bostrom, University of Northwestern
Bostrom went 3-1 in singles play with the same record in doubles matches last week, with combined scores of 39-21 (singles) and 26-14 (doubles). Bostrom is 12-6 overall in singles matches and 9-8 in doubles contests in 2014.
MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeremy Peterson, College of St. Scholastica
Peterson had a career day with personal bests in the hammer throw, discus throw and the shot put at the Lee Krough Invite hosted by Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday. Jeremy won both the hammer throw 182'2" (55.52m) and the discus throw 150'0" (45.72m). Jeremy also placed second in the shot put with a toss of 46'10.75" (14.29m). Jeremy is currently ranked 13th in the hammer throw in NCAA Division III.
WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jadyn Bonesara, College of St. Scholastica
Bonasera broke the school record in the discus throw with a toss of 136'5" (41.58m) to win the Lee Krough Invite hosted by Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday. Jadyn's throw currently ranks 18th in NCAA Division III.
