Saints, Cougars dominate UMAC Player of the Week Awards
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Brendon Foss, University of Minnesota Morris
Foss nearly averaged a double-double this weekend with 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. He averaged six made shots per game and shot 57.1 from three point range while adding 3.0 offensive rebounds per game, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Abby Fragodt, University of Minnesota Morris
The senior forward filled up the stat sheet this weekend averaging 17 rebounds, five assists, and six blocks per game. In Friday's UMAC Game of the Week Fragodt had 20 rebounds, the most in school history since 1976. On Saturday she had seven blocks, which was just one shy of a school record, which is held by Fragodt herself.
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chris Lawson, College of St. Scholastica
Chris Lawson won the 5,000 m in school record time at the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin - Stout on Saturday. His time of 15:30.56 was 17 seconds ahead of the next finisher in the field of 22 athletes.
WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Nicole Christianson, College of St. Scholastica
Christianson broke the St. Scholastica school record with a jump of 1.69 m / 5' 6.5" at the MSU Open hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday. Nicole's jump surpasses her previous school record by 7 cm. She was the top non NCAA Division I performer with an overall 3rd place finish. Her jump currently ranks her fifth in NCAA Division III.
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Lambrecht, College of St. Scholastica
Lambrecht started the 2014 season 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, winning both of his singles matches in straight sets. Lambrecht was victorious in the No. 3 spot against Hamline and the No. 2 spot against Bethel. He also was victorious at No. 2 doubles against Hamline.

Jessica Solberg, College of St. Scholastica
In her first collegiate matches, Jessica Solberg dominated going 3-0 in singles and 3-0 with partner Alexis Gunderson in doubles matches.
