Three schools claim six UMAC Player of the Week Awards

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Will Gisler, University of Northwestern

In addition to scoring a career high 26 points against Crown on Friday, freshman Will Gisler averaged 19.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in the Eagles' three UMAC wins last week to put UNW in sole possession of first place in the conference standings. Gisler made nearly 68 percent of his overall attempts and went for 69 percent from downtown.





WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Emily Auch, University of Minnesota Morris

Auch had a double-double in every game this past week averaging 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds per game. Auch currently leads the UMAC in field goal percentage and shot 50.5% from the field this past week while going 10-11 from the foul line as well.






MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chalmer Combellick, University of Minnesota Morris

Combellick won the mile this past weekend at the UW-River Falls meet in a time of 4:20.79. His time set a new school record and currently ranks 48th in the country.






WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Bre Adams, College of St. Scholastica
Adams broke the St. Scholastic record in the 800 m at the Lake Superior Challenge hosted by St. Scholastic. Her time of 2:18.43 ranks first in the UMAC and 30th in NCAA Division III.






MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Logan Engelstad, College of St. Scholastica

In a pair of matches on Sunday, Engelstad went 2-0 in singles play and partnered with Jake Tideman to go 2-0 in doubles action. He cruised in his two singles matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. He and Tideman had a crucial 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles in CSS's 5-4 win over Carleton.





WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Karen Moe, University of Northwestern

Moe continued to shine in her freshman season, helping Northwestern win its second match of the year (2-0 in 2014) with solid victories in both singles and doubles play against Bethel University. Moe, who won 6-1, 6-0 in singles play and 8-3 in doubles, hasn't lost a match in either category yet this season, playing in the No. 2 spot for both singles and doubles.
