UMAC Player of the Week Award Winners Announced
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
G Trevor Morlock, College of St. Scholastica
Morlock scored 56 total points in two conference contests over the weekend, scoring 30 on Friday and then adding 26 on Saturday as the Saints went 2-0 in UMAC play. He also averaged 9.0 rebounds per game.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Kasslin Swenson, Bethany Lutheran College
Swenson notched her 10th and 11th double-double of the season in impressive fashion. She grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds in Friday's game at Northland and then topped that in Saturday's game at St. Scholastica when she pulled down 19, a mark that ties her for third most in a game in program history.
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Josh Simmons, College of St. Scholastica
Simmons won the 60 meter with a time of 7.06 at the Stout Open on Saturday. He bested a field of 21 and is .02 seconds of tying the school record. Josh also placed second in the 200 m in a field of 20 with a time of 23.27 which puts him 5th on the St. Scholastica Top 5 list.
WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Linda Keller, University of Minnesota Morris
In her first indoor meet in almost two years, Keller won the UW-River Falls Winter Classic 600 meter race with a time of 1:43.15, just shy of the school record.
