ST. PAUL –Tuesday’s release of the 2013 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) tennis postseason awards featured four schools as the College of St. Scholastica, Martin Luther College, North Central University and Northwestern College grabbed all 12 spots on the all-conference list.

St. Scholastica led the way with five All-UMAC honors including Kolin Dean who earned the honor for the second consecutive year.  Dean is joined on the list by teammates Cullen Combs, Mike Fontana, Nick Lambrecht and Josh Stainer.

2013 UMAC Player of the Year David Knight headlined a group of four all-conference representatives from Northwestern.  Knight was named to the all-conference list  for the third consecutive year and earned player of the year honors for second time in his career after finishing league play with a 9-1 singles record this spring.  Other Eagles joining Knight on the all-conference team include four-time All-UMAC selection Keagan Blancke,  two-time all-conference performer Jimmy Ekman and Agassi Mila.

Rounding out the all-conference list are four-time All-UMAC selection Scott Henrich and two-time performer Paul Koester from Martin Luther College and North Central University’s Fabian Tunberg.

St. Scholastica Head Coach Wells Patten was selected as the UMAC Coach of the Year by his colleagues. Under Patten’s leadership, the Saints swept their conference schedule, winning both the UMAC regular season and tournament titles.
