ST. PAUL -- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Game of the Week is a feature that takes place each week throughout the conference portion of the season with one contest being selected and highlighted as the UMAC Game of the Week.

This week's UMAC Game of the Week will take place on Saturday, November 9 as the College of St. Scholastica travels to Greenville College in football action. Both teams currently own perfect 8-0 UMAC records. The winner of Saturday's regular season finale will be crowned the 2013 UMAC Football Champion and earn the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III postseason.

About the Saints
The Saints will be in search of their third consecutive UMAC Championship and third straight NCAA postseason appearance. The Saints are coming off a 55-7 victory, which saw a program record 48 points scored in the second half. CSS scored touchdowns in all three facets of the game last week with two interceptions returned for scores by Jake Turkowski, a punt return by Cory Gebhard and a pair of touchdowns by Jake Jensen. All three players were named Beyond Sports Network NCAA Division III Players of the Week.

The CSS defense allows only 272.4 yards per game, which ranks 17th in the country. The Saints lead the conference with five defensive touchdowns this season and are ranked fourth in the nation, averaging four sacks per game. However, the CSS defense is allowing 12 more points per game and 50 more yards per game on the road this season.

About the Panthers
The Greenville College football team is attempting to complete a perfect 10-0 season on Saturday as it hosts St. Scholastica in a contest that has become the UMAC championship game. The squad has broken Greenville’s all-time single-season record for wins and features a nationally acclaimed offense which finds itself among the national leaders in a variety of categories.

Greenville is led by the offensive production of quarterback Brendan Chambers, who is 98-of-180 for 1372 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has rushed for 941 yards on 115 carries and 15 touchdowns. Backfield mates Jacob Stull and Zibeon Washington have combined for over 1,600 rushing yards with Stull producing 1019 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Washington has picked up 626 yards and six touchdowns.

Greenville senior Quarterback Brendan Chambers is second in the nation as he is responsible for an average of 23 points per game. His 15 rushing touchdowns ranks ninth. He is also ninth in Division III with 168 points for which he’s responsible.

-St. Scholastica senior running back Jake Jensen needs 91 yards on the ground to become the first Saint in program history to run for 3,000 yards in a career. He is currently fifth in the country with 1,204 yards on the ground this season.

- Greenville features the nation’s number one rushing attack with 366.2 rushing yards per game and is leading the nation in first downs. Greenville’s total offense of 522.1 yards per game is eighth in the nation.

-The Saints are the last team to defeat Greenville, which was last season by a 45-3 score. It was the first time a Saints defense has not given up a touchdown in a game. CSS scored 28 points off of five Panther turnovers.

- This year’s Greenville squad is gunning for its fourth conference championship or share of championship since joining the UMAC in 2009 (2009 UMAC South Champion, 2010 UMAC Champion, 2012 UMAC Tri-Champion).

-The last trip to Greenville for the Saints, saw CSS jump out to a 27-0 lead only to have the Panthers come back and cut it to 30-26. The Saints had a defensive stand in the final moments to secure the win.

- Greenville is one of just 16 remaining undefeated teams in Division III.

- Greenville is completing the 2013 season under the direction of interim head coach Robbie Schomaker, who is in his first season as a head coach.
