UMAC congratulates Week 3 Player of the Week award winners

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WR Brian Lecheler, Northwestern College
Brian Lecheler continued his streak of catches for 50 yards or more on Saturday as he brought in a 73-yard scoring pass from quarterback Josh Balzer. Lecheler finished with 148 yards receiving in a 35-10 win for the Eagles.






FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DE Zack Jusczack, Crown College

Zack Jusczack's pressure helped limit Eureka to 17 points as he racked up 13 tackles, two of which went for sacks. Jusczack had three tackles for a loss on Saturday.






FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
K Cameron Adel, University of Minnesota Morris
Cameron Adel was a perfect 3-for-3 in extra point attempts while also making a 41-yard field goal, which proved to be the difference in the Cougars' win over MacMurray. Adel's field goal was the longest in Minnesota Morris history as a UMAC member.






MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Josh Willis, Bethany Lutheran College

Josh Willis shot a one-under par score of 70 in the Bethany Lutheran-Martin Luther dual meet, earning medalist honors along the way. The Vikings set a new school record with a team score of 295 in the match, marking the first time that Bethany Lutheran shot under 300 as a team.






MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Rob Johnson, College of St. Scholastica

In three games last week, St. Scholastica's Rob Johnson tallied 14 points, breaking the Saints' school record for points in a game with 11 in a win over Northland. Johnson's line read four goals and six assists, with one game-winning goal.






MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
GK Nathan Kraines, North Central University

Nathan Kraines recorded 14 saves to earn his first UMAC shutout and help North Central earn its first conference victory ov the season. On the week, Kraines posted 25 saves in 180 minutes of time in front of the net.






WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Francie Piche, Northwestern College
Northwestern's Francie Piche scored two goals and recorded an assist in the Eagles' wins over Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran last weekend to give NWC a 2-0 start in UMAC play.






WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
GK Noelle Stordock, North Central University

Playing in North Central's first UMAC games of the season, Noelle Stordock posted 41 saves in two games to go with an .872 save percentage.







MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Derek Schlager, Northwestern College

Derek Schlager was Northwestern's first runner to cross the finish line at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday, finishing the 8k course in 27:34.3. Schlager's time was good enough for 49th place amongst the meet's 295 participants.






WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Linda Keller, University of Minnesota Morris

Minnesota Morris' Linda Keller beat 380 student-athletes to win the St. Olaf meet on Saturday, finishing the course in 21:57.8, over 12 seconds faster than any other runner on the course.






VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
OH Mariah Simonson, North Central University

Mariah Simonson had 22 kills and a .425 attacking percentage against Emmaus Bible College while averaging 4.86 kills per set in two matches over the weekend. Simonson also had 6.57 digs per set in the same two contests.






VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MH Rachel Hein, Martin Luther College

Martin Luther's Rachel Hein averaged 2.0 blocks per set as Martin Luther went 3-1 at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. Hein also contributed 2.15 kills per set and a .254 attacking percentage on the offensive side of the net.






VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
S Krista Stoltz, Northwestern College

Krista Stoltz averaged 10.75 assists per set as Northwestern went 2-2 at the Cornell College Classic last weekend. Stoltz led the team to a .206 attacking percentage while being named to the all-tournament team.
