ST. PAUL -- After finishing the season in a three-way tie for first place in the UMAC with conference records of 7-1,  Greenville College, Northwestern College and the College of St. Scholastica are all well-represented in the 2012 UMAC Football Postseason awards.

Greenville running back Immanuel Gamble was named the league's offensive player of the year after leading the conference in both yards and yards per game with 985 total yards on the season and averaging 123.2 yards per game in UMAC play.  Gamble also came in second in total touchdowns, scoring 10 times this season. He is ranked 24th in the nation with 1,073 total rushing yards on the season. 

In addition to being named a first team All-UMAC defensive lineman for the second consecutive year, St. Scholastica's Zach Dubanoski was named UMAC Defensive Player of the Year.  Dubankoski finished tied for first in the league with 4.5 sacks on the season for a loss of 38 total yards, a UMAC best.

Saints kicker Mike Theismann won the special teams player of the year award for the second consecutive year.  Thiesmann made all nine of his field goal attempts and 31 of his 32 PAT attempts while leading the league in field goals, PAT percent (97%) and points (58).  Theisman is currenlty ranked 19th in all of Division III for field goals per game. 

Northwestern's Josh Swore earned UMAC Lineman of the Year honors for the second consecutive year after finishing the season with a 13.5 tackles for a loss and tied for first in sacks, with 4.5 in UMAC competition. Eagles head coach Kirk Talley was selected as the UMAC Coach of the Year by his colleagues after his squad finished the season 7-1 and tied for first place in the UMAC in 2012. The Eagles were 1-5 in 2010 and 6-3 in 2011.

Northwestern also won the UMAC Football Team Sportsmanship Award, an accolade that that is selected by the UMAC coaches to honor the team who best exemplified sportsmanship throughout the entire 2012 season.  Each team also has one representative on the individual sportsmanship award list:
