Northwestern's Kristina Siemens headlines UMAC Women's Golf Postseason Awards

ST. PAUL -- Following Saturday’s final round at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Women’s Golf Championship, the league’s all-conference team was announced. Those individuals who place in the top eight (including ties) at the conference finale are awarded with All-UMAC accolades.

Northwestern College’s Kristina Siemens was the championship tournament’s medalist for the second straight year after firing an 80-85-89=254 at the Alexandria Golf Club. A quartet of players from the University of Minnesota, Morris followed, as Stephanie Trnka, Ashley Watson, Caitlin Hanson and Olivia Bennett took second through fifth places at the tournament. Presentation College’s trio of Samantha Stadel, Samantha Maag, and Ashley Rolstad, along with Northwestern’s Lexi Oldenburger, rounded out the top eight scores.

Minnesota, Morris won the UMAC title for the second consecutive year with a team score of 1,117, which was 102 strokes below second place Presentation and 153 strokes ahead of third place Northwestern. Following the tournament, Cougars head coach Jana Koehler was named the conference coach of the year.
