ST. PAUL -- Following a postseason tournament championship that resulted in a 1-0 win by NCAA tournament bound-St. Scholastica, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its all-conference awards on Monday. The College of St. Scholastica, Northland College and Northwestern College all had six overall selections. Northwestern led the eight-team league with five first team accolades.

St. Scholastica won both the UMAC regular season and postseason tournament championships. The regular season title was the Saints’ sixth in a row. Northland finished second in the league, while Northwestern came in third.

Bethany Lutheran College had three players on the all-conference first team, while Crown College, Presentation College and the University of Minnesota, Morris each had two individual first team honorees.

Northland’s Sarah Strobino ended her collegiate career as the UMAC’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Strobino, who shared the award with St. Scholastica’s Robin Johnson in 2008, recorded 15 goals and an assist for 31 points in 14 UMAC games this year. Strobino’s head coach, Ashley Grant, was voted as the UMAC’s Coach of the Year as she led her team to an 11-3 finish in just her second season at the team’s helm.
