Northland's Chelsea Lundgren nets 1,000th career basketball point after recording 1,000th kill in volleyball

ASHLAND, Wis. -- Northland College senior Chelsea Lundgren reached a rare statistical mark on Tuesday night, as she became the LumberJills' first two-sport student-athlete to score 1,000 points in basketball and record 1,000 kills in volleyball.

Lundgren, who received all-conference honorable mention accolades in last week's volleyball postseason awards announcement, is a three-time member of the UMAC's All-Conference First Team in basketball.

Lundgren's 1,000th career basketball point came in Northland's 73-47 victory over Finlandia University on Tuesday.  The senior finished Tuesday's contest with 10 points.

Lundgren's 250 kills on the volleyball court this year put her over the 1,000 mark for her career.  She is just the second person to reach the 1,000 kill level at Northland.
