MINNEAPOLIS -- Five games in one day is something that sounds like a volleyball tournament.  In the UMAC, however, five games in one day can only mean one thing: Dome Day.  All nine of the league's teams will be in action today at the Metrodome.

Since 2000, the UMAC has presented this one-day spectacle, and 2009 is no different as four new teams joined the league this past spring.  This year’s schedule is as follows:

     · 8 a.m. - Crown College vs. MacMurray College
     · 11 a.m. - University of Minnesota, Morris vs. Macalester College
     · 2 p.m. - College of St. Scholastica vs. Eureka College
     · 5 p.m. - Martin Luther College vs. Westminster College (Mo.)
     · 8 p.m. - Northwestern College (Minn.) vs. Greenville College

If you plan on coming to Dome Day, parking in the Metrodome lot (enter on 11th Ave).  Fans are asked to enter the stadium at Gate B, where tickets can be purchased.  If you cannot make it to Dome Day this year, you can still stay connected to what’s going on inside the Metrodome via the event website.  In addition to regular scores and statistics, multiple interactive features such as live video and live statistics are available for your use.  You can also follow along as UMAC SID Greg Johnson keeps a live blog throughout the day and participate in a live chat with Greg at 3 p.m.  If you’re new to Dome Day, last year’s blog will give you a quick introduction to the event.
