A pair of UMAC student-athletes were named to the D3baseball.com All-America Second Team late Tuesday evening. Bethany Lutheran College’s Cody Hallahan and the College of St. Scholatica’s Jeff Adams were two of the four pitchers on the all-American second team.

Winner of the last 14 UMAC regular season championships, St. Scholastica boasted seven players on the all-conference first team and two players on the all-conference honorable mention team. Bethany Lutheran College, who finished second to St. Scholastica in both the UMAC regular season and postseason tournament, placed five on the first team and two more on the all-conference honorable mention list.

For the sixth straight year and the seventh time overall, the St. Scholastica baseball team has earned a bid to the 2010 NCAA Tournament and will take part in the Midwest Regional, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, starting on Wednesday.

The ninth-ranked St. Scholastica baseball team captured its 14th consecutive outright Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season championship by sweeping a doubleheader from Crown College 12-0 and 7-3 at Wade Stadium on Thursday evening.
