Maddy Gerber
3.12.2010 | Women's Soccer

Minnesota-Morris' Maddy Gerber was recently awarded a prestigious NCAA postgraduate scholarship for her performance on the soccer pitch as well as in the classroom. Gerber is one of only 29 women nationwide in all three NCAA divisions who received an award for the 2009 fall season.

The UMAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) convened in Chanhassen, Minn. on Monday, Feb. 22 after their biannual meeting to serve at Feed My Starving Children. 2010 was the second year that the conference’s student-athlete leadership group participated in service together.

Not one, but two teams from the UMAC will be participating in the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament, as the University of Minnesota-Morris and Northland College received invitations to the Big Dance.

Minnesota-Morris and St. Scholastica not only cleaned up at the UMAC Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday; they also claimed 15 of the 23 all-conference awards that were handed out.

After St. Scholastica won the UMAC Indoor Track & Field Championship in dominating fashion on Saturday, the Saints won 16 of the 27 all-conference awards that were handed out. The Saints scored 274 points in Saturday’s meet, more than twice than that of second-place University of Minnesota-Morris, who had 128.

3.1.2010 | Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field

The St. Scholastica men's and women's teams claimed first place in 16 of 31 competitions on Saturday to win both of the UMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.  The Saints women's squad took 274 points to more than double second-place Minnesota-Morris, while the St. Scholastica men earned 208 points to best the rest of the field.
